This qualification is designed for tradespeople, or qualified electricians, who work in the electrical industry and are involved in meeting the requirements for electrical installations, to BS7671. Essentially, you will want to make sure if you are working in electrical installation that you are designing and installing to the latest regulations. In fact, every installation from January 2019 will need to be designed in line with the 18th Edition wiring regulations.

This is an update course for all candidates with the City and Guilds 2382-15 (3rd Amendment, Yellow Version of The 17th Edition course) wanting to gain the 18th Edition course 2382-18. All Candidates wishing to complete this course will need to provide proof of Certification, via scan/photocopy of your City and Guilds certificate prior to Booking Confirmation. This update course will run as a 1 day update and the course will be constructed on the 18th Edition updates only.

PTLLS is the acronym for the Award in Preparing to Teach in the Lifelong Learning Sector. This qualification consists of four units. Each unit has a 3 credit value (within the QCF framework) which adds up to the 12 credits required to achieve this award. This is a mandatory qualification for those wishing to enter teaching in the regulated Lifelong Learning Sector (LLS) in England and forms part of the framework of qualification for teachers in the LLS. If taken as a stand-alone qualification, it can receive accreditation of prior learning (APL) within 6302 CTLLS, 7305 DTLLS, and the level 5 subject specialist diplomas for literacy, ESOL and numeracy.

DTLLS is the acronym for the Diploma in Teaching in the Lifelong learning Sector. It may be offered to pre-service and in-service candidates on a part-time or full-time basis and is awarded at level 5 upon completion. The diploma meets the qualification requirements for the full teaching role. It comprises level 4 (part one) and level 5 (part two) mandatory units and optional units. The total minimum credit value required of this qualification is 120 credits on the QCF. This course is designed to outline the legislation around the use of ladders and how to inspect, register and use ladders to protect, inspect and operate safely. In order to take this course, the Ladder Association’s Ladder User Course must have been completed and passed before attempting the Ladder Association’s Ladder Inspection Course you must hold a valid Ladder Association identity card.

Based on guidance from the UK’s leading experts on ladder manufacture, maintenance and safety, this course from the Ladder Association scheme addresses issues raised by the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974, as well as the Work at Height Regulations 2005. This course will ensure that delegates have knowledge and instructions required to use and select ladders and stepladders legally and safely.

Commonly known as cat and genny - unit 01, this course is designed to train experienced operatives who are required to locate underground apparatus during roadworks, this course covers skills and techniques for avoiding danger, positioning apparatus, and reading office records.

This course, previously known as unit 02 is designed to ensure that candidates are able to carry out daily tasks in writing and guarding systems, to enable trainees take adequate measures to minimise inconvenience to the general public during street works. It covers a number of areas including planning and positioning, as well as understanding of safety zones and pedestrian walkbys. Please note that this course does not certify candidates to supervise setting out of signing, lighting and guarding.

In this course, previously known as unit 10, we review the supervision of setting out traffic lights, signs, cones and barriers for temporary Streetworks, in compliance with NRSWA. The course reviews the decision-making process for designing temporarily Streetworks, as well as how to manage the setup of such works and dealing with conflicts and disagreements. Please note that this course does not certify candidates to undertake the setting out of signing, lighting and guarding of temporary street works.

In this course, we look to train delegates to a high level of competence in the assembly, disassembly, inspection and use of these towers . The course also looks at current legislation and guidance, and contains both a written and practical assessment.

This one-day course combines the PASMA courses on scaffold and low-level towers, and offers a clear insight into the legislation, guidelines, details and potential hazards of their use. It looks at how to safely assemble, dismantle, relocate and use both low-level access units and scaffold towers, as well as looking at the potential threats they may cause.

In this half-day course, personnel who work from prefabricated units under 2.5 m in height, will gain an insight into the regulations, legislation, and product standards of such units, and how to avoid hazards. The course combines a written and practical assessment.

This course covers current Legislation, Regulations and Guidance affecting work at height with mobile access towers, PASMA Code of Practice, a look at assembling, altering and dismantling mobile access towers incorporating current best practice for fall protection, inspection of completed mobile access towers and completion of Tower Inspection Records.
