Ladder Association Training Courses

It is well-known that misuse of ladders are a common hazard for causing injury to workers. This course is designed to outline the legislation around the use of ladders and how to inspect, register and use ladders to protect, inspect and operate safely. In order to take this course, the Ladder Association’s Ladder User Course must have been completed and passed before attempting the Ladder Association’s Ladder Inspection Course you must hold a valid Ladder Association identity card.

Based on guidance from the UK’s leading experts on ladder manufacture, maintenance and safety, this course from the Ladder Association scheme addresses issues raised by the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974, as well as the Work at Height Regulations 2005. This course will ensure that delegates have knowledge and instructions required to use and select ladders and stepladders legally and safely.

Written with guidance from the UK's leading experts on ladder manufacture, maintenance and safety, the Ladder Association scheme addresses all the issues raised by the Health & Safety at Work Act 1974 and, more recently, the Work at Height Regulations 2005. This 2.5 hour training course will ensure delegates have the knowledge and instruction to be able to use and select ladders and step ladders legally and safely.

To gain an understanding of current relevant legislation, be able to thoroughly inspect ladders and stepladders identifying safety critical faults and record equipment details and inspections as outlined in PUWER.
