IPAF PAV Push-Around Vertical Vehicles

This course combines four hours of classroom and practical training and assessment on safe operation selection and use of Push-Along Vertical Personnel Lifts (PAV). The course is designed to provide attendees with certification for the use of PAVs, and will cover the legislation, safety issues and best practice around the use of these machines.

Description

Overview

Push around Verticals are small, static vertical machines without a mechanical drive that are physically pushed around. Popular with contractors and the non-construction sector, these machines are ideal for low-level work. In this course, attendees will be given the knowledge and skills they need for safe operation, and certification for the use of this equipment.

Aims and Objectives

This course aims to deliver the appropriate knowledge and skills needed for the safe operation of Push-Along Vertical Personnel Lifts (PAV), and provide successful delegates with an IPAF Certificate of Training as well as an IPAF PAL Photo ID Card (valid for 5 years).

Duration

This is a half-day course.

Prerequisites

As assembly and use of PAVs can be physically demanding, attendees should be physically fit and in good health and should generally not suffer from problems with eyesight or hearing, heart disease, high blood pressure, epilepsy, fear of heights/vertigo, balance problems, impaired limb function, alcohol or drug dependence, or psychiatric illness. In addition, attendees should have a good understanding of both written and spoken English.

Candidates are expected to bring the following:

  • Full body harness

Other PPE will be issued during the practical session as required. Required PPE will also be available for purchase on the day.
