Plant Safety Training Courses

The Aim of the course is to train selected personnel in the practical skills and job safety knowledge necessary for the operation of Overhead Crane and Slinging Operator Safety Syllabus to the accredited standards of ITSSAR and the ABA Workplace transport 2012.

This course aims to train selected personnel in the safe use of cranes, as defined in BS7121 Part 1 1998 to the CPCS (Construction Plant Competence Scheme) standard. It covers a range of subjects ranging from the legislation to engineering principles behind crane use, and is ideal for all personnel responsible for selecting and planning the use of cranes.

It covers all relevant legislation, recommended hand signals and will equip attendees with the ability to identify areas of danger.

Managing and lifting operations are a big part of any construction environment, and also potentially the most dangerous. This course is designed to deliver ‘hands-on’ knowledge and training to attendees with responsibility for the safe use of lifting equipment on site. It covers the relevant legislation as well as force influences and the physics behind lifting equipment, as well as how to choose the correct lifting equipment, use appropriate hand signals and carry out pre-inspections.
