CAT and Genny Cable Avoidance
Detecting cables and underground pipes requires a Cable Avoidance Tool and Signal Generator (or CAT and Genny), but improper use can cause disastrous, even life-threatening results. In this half-day course, we cover the legislation, safe working procedures and operating principles behind CAT and Genny use. The course goes over how to locate services, how to familiarise yourself with service drawings and how to maintain and service your equipment.
