Working At Heights
Falls from heights are one of the biggest causes of workplace fatalities and major injuries. In this course, we look at legislation around working at heights, as well as examining the potential hazards and how to both assess and reduce their risk. This half-day course combines a classroom session and is ideal for organisational compliance with the Work at Height Regulations 2005 (WAHR).

Overview
Falls while working at heights can be a killer. In fact, they are one of the most common causes of workplace fatalities and major injuries. In this half-day course, we combine classroom and practical sessions to outline the legislation, risks and control measures around working at heights, as well as outlining the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and how to assess risk and perform safety checks prior to use.
Aims and Objectives
This course aims to provide delegates with a basic and clear insight into the risks of working at heights, as well as how to mitigate these risks, the course also outlines relevant legislation.

This is a half-day course.

There are no formal entry requirements for this course. However, learners are expected to have a good understanding of both spoken and written English.

Contents
This course is divided into 5 modules:
- Basic Understanding of Legislation
- The dangers associated with working at heights
- Safe working practices to be followed when working at heights using the hierarchy of control
- Safe use of various working at heights equipment
- Safe use of leaning stepladders and the importance of inspecting equipment before use
The course concludes with an assessment exercise.
