First Aid Training Courses

This course aims to empower both individuals in the work place and communities to understand the signs and symptoms of mental health issues and how best to support themselves and those around them in recovery.

The qualification will equip the first aider with skills to be able to confidently undertake emergency first aid if someone becomes ill or injured at work and consists of 6 hours of instructor led tuition with the emphasis on practical application of first aid skills

This specially designed programme has been adapted from the HSE Emergency First Aid at Work (EFAW) course to meet the needs of people who work within a school setting. The course follows the syllabus set by the Health & Safety Executive and is delivered in accordance with the Approved Code of Practice L74 for training of candidates in first aid for low risk environments.

First Aid can literally be a life saver when it comes to workplace accidents, and every workplace should have responsible first aiders on their team. On this course, we cover all the subjects first aiders need to know, and make sure they have the knowledge to step in when accidents or illness strikes. CITB funding is available for this course - per person, per day – for ALL registered companies.

This refresher course will need to be taken no later than the expiry date of your last course taken. If this date has passed then you no longer qualified to hold the qualification and a re-qualification course may not be open to you due to timescales. Please check with your previous accrediting body. Proof of prior certification is required for this course.

When a heart attack occurs, a defibrillator can save lives. In fact, prompt and proper use by a first responder is recognised by the Resuscitation Council (UK) as the best way to increase the chances of survival. In this half-day course, we cover the importance and proper use of defibrillators, as well as how to recognise the signs of angina or heart attack and deal with them appropriately. The course includes lots of hands-on practice for students, as well as guidance on maintenance, safety and troubleshooting.

Designed for those working in education and childcare, this two-day first aid course is tailored to first aid personnel who primarily work with children or infants. The course, which meets the requirements of the National Child Minding Association (NCMA), the Pre-School Learning Alliance (PLA) and OFSTED, covers a comprehensive range of topics around paediatric first aid care.
