Overview
This short course, designed for holders of the Emergency First Aid at Work qualification, allows them to practice their skills and revisit what they have learned to ensure that they can offer the best care in an emergency. Please note that this course does not count towards requalification, and awardees will need to requalify after three years from the original certification date.
Aims and Objectives
This course aims to offer a brief refresher that outlines the skills and knowledge covered in the Emergency First Aid at Work course, to allow holders of that certificate to keep up to date during the three years of their qualification.
Duration
This is a half-day course.
Prerequisites
Attendees must hold a current Emergency First Aid at Work certificate to participate in this course.

This course is for holders of the Emergency First Aid at Work course who want to ensure their knowledge is up-to-date prior to their required requalification course.
Content
The course reviews the subjects learned in the original Emergency First Aid at Work course. These include:
- Health and safety (first aid) regulations
- Managing an incident
- The priorities of first aid
- Treatment of an unconscious casualty
- Resuscitation
- Shock
- Choking
- Seizures
- Bleeding
- Common workplace injuries
Course Benefits
This course allows holders of the HSE-approved Emergency First Aid at Work certificate to refresh their knowledge and practice their skills through practical exercises.
Certification
Learners will be given a Certificate of Attendance on successful completion of the course.
