Content
The NEBOSH National General Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety is designed to provide a clear overview of the field. The course is divided into two units.
Unit GC2 focuses on controlling workplace hazards and covers the following:
- Workplace Hazards and Risk Control
- Transport Hazards and Risk Control
- Musculoskeletal Hazards and Risk Control
- Work Equipment Hazards and Risk Control
- Electrical Safety
- Fire Safety
- Chemical and Biological Health Hazards and Risk Control
- Physical and Psychological Health Hazards and Risk Control
Unit GC3 covers the practical application of Health and Safety good practice.
Candidates are assessed with written examinations for each of the two taught units (NGC1 and NGC2), along with a practical assessment (GC3).

Prerequisites

Successful learners will gain part of the NEBOSH National General Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety, a nationally recognised qualification.
Holders of the certificate will also be one unit away from completion of the full NEBOSH General Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety.
