SPA Alliance/MPQC Training Courses

This course, which follows on from the MPQC Quarry – Day One course, is best suited to managers and employees of companies working within the mineral and extraction industry. It offers a detailed insight into health and safety good practice throughout the contractor supply chain, and will give attendees the opportunity to contribute to higher standards of safety performance in the workplace.

Designed for those in the mineral and extraction industry, this one-day course details how to apply good practice through the contractor supply chain, and enhance your own safety awareness. The course is classroom-based, and covers areas including health and safety, safe management of quarries, safe use of cranes and equipment, and tips on working excavations, confined spaces and heights.

This one-day course is designed for those looking for a general overview of health and safety in the workplace. It provides basic information on the implications of Hazard recognition and risk assessment, as well as detailing responsibility for health and safety, and showing how individual behaviour can help reduce accidents.

Aimed at those involved in retail, as well as those working in petrol filling stations, this one-day course offers an industry-specific overview of health and safety, allowing delegates to recognise and mitigate hazards, use control measures and safe working practices, and maintain a safe working environment.

This course, targeted at those in a supervisory role, aims to provide basic information on health, safety and the environment, along with insight into understanding the implications of hazard recognition and risk assessment. It looks at the effect of these issues on individuals and the employer, and illustrates how individual behaviour can prompt a significant reduction in workplace accidents.

This SPA 2 day course consists of a first “Core Day” which acts as an introduction to health & safety. The second day is specific to Petrol Retail – Forecourt Contract
