SPA MPQC Mineral Products (Quarry) – Day Two

This course, which follows on from the MPQC Quarry – Day One course, is best suited to managers and employees of companies working within the mineral and extraction industry. It offers a detailed insight into health and safety good practice throughout the contractor supply chain, and will give attendees the opportunity to contribute to higher standards of safety performance in the workplace.

Overview

Designed for managers and employees within the mineral and extraction industry, this course outlines the key health and safety issues when working on site, and is designed to encourage safe behaviour during day-to-day working activities. This course forms the second part of a two-part training programme within MPQC Quarry Safety.

Aims and Objectives

This course aims to enhance contract awareness of health and safety issues and promote safe behaviour and processes within the mineral extraction industry. Successful completion of this course will gain attendees an SPA Core Competency Card, valid for five years.

Duration

This is a one-day course, following on from a previous one-day core training course.

Who Should Attend

This course is ideal for any professionals within the mineral and extraction industry, who wish to gain certification in health and safety issues. Entry to this course however requires completion of the previous MPQC Quarry – Day One course, subject to exceptions listed above.

Course Benefits

This course offers all the relevant knowledge of health and safety required for working within the mineral and extraction industry. Successful candidates will qualify for the SPA Core Competency Card, a nationally-recognised qualification.

Pre-requisites:

Please note that each delegate is required to bring with them the following: National Insurance Number, date of birth, Driving Licence or Passport current MPQC Day 1 Core card if applicable, when attending Day 2 of the training course.

Certification

Upon completion, candidates will receive the SPA Core Competency Card, valid for three years.
