This workshop is designed for anyone who would benefit from being able to generate ideas and solve problems more effectively in the workplace. It covers the relationship between creativity and innovation as well as outlining useful tools and techniques and how to apply them at work.

Content
The course is divided into three modules:
- Understanding Creativity and Innovation
This module looks at the difference between creativity and innovation, barriers to creativity and the importance of good creative thinking for both the individual and their organisation.
- Methods and Techniques for Stimulating Creative Thinking
This module explores proven methods and techniques for improving creative thinking including mind mapping, thought showers, brain writing and the Walt Disney technique.
- Using Creativity and the Innovation Process in the Workplace
This technique looks at how creative thinking can be applied to the workplace and how to ensure that your ideas are turned into actions.
Course Benefits
By the end of this course, participants will be able to explain the importance of developing creativity and innovation, to recognise the potential barriers and to develop ways to use creativity in the workplace and turn their ideas into actions.
This course is highly useful both as a development tool for current staff and as an assessment exercise for individuals and groups within a workplace setting.
