One of the biggest causes of workplace accidents is back injuries, and these are often caused by poor lifting techniques. A lack of manual handling training can have a severe impact on the profitability of the organisation, especially when claims are raised by the injured party. In this course, we consider the practical considerations of manual handling work, looking both at the risk factors around manual handling, as well as basic manual handling techniques and loading limits. The course combines classroom and practical sessions.
