This is Day 2, or the Refresher day, of the safety passport for the quarry and minerals industry which is run in conjunction with MPQC (Mineral Products Qualifications Council) formerly known as EPIC. The Quarry safety passport (sometimes known as the EPIC card) training course covers topics such as dust, confined spaces and hazard awareness.

Your CSCS card acts as proof of identity and demonstrates your competence in performing the job in a safe manner. Based on your job role and qualification you may apply for different tests and cards.

Abrasive Wheels are used in a variety of different workplace scenarios, and when used improperly can be quite dangerous. According to The Provision and Use of Work Equipment (PUWER) 1998 act, all staff who use abrasive wheels must have proper training. This course provides an overview of legislation, as well as illustrating the potential hazards of abrasive wheels and how to avoid them.
