Candidates are mostly company harness/safety inspectors. Candidates should first take the Harness Awareness and Harness User courses, before this course.

It is well-known that misuse of ladders are a common hazard for causing injury to workers. This course is designed to outline the legislation around the use of ladders and how to inspect, register and use ladders to protect, inspect and operate safely. In order to take this course, the Ladder Association’s Ladder User Course must have been completed and passed before attempting the Ladder Association’s Ladder Inspection Course you must hold a valid Ladder Association identity card.

Detecting cables and underground pipes requires a Cable Avoidance Tool and Signal Generator (or CAT and Genny), but improper use can cause disastrous, even life-threatening results. In this half-day course, we cover the legislation, safe working procedures and operating principles behind CAT and Genny use. The course goes over how to locate services, how to familiarise yourself with service drawings and how to maintain and service your equipment.
