Based on guidance from the UK’s leading experts on ladder manufacture, maintenance and safety, this course from the Ladder Association scheme addresses issues raised by the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974, as well as the Work at Height Regulations 2005. This course will ensure that delegates have knowledge and instructions required to use and select ladders and stepladders legally and safely.

It is well-known that misuse of ladders are a common hazard for causing injury to workers. This course is designed to outline the legislation around the use of ladders and how to inspect, register and use ladders to protect, inspect and operate safely. In order to take this course, the Ladder Association’s Ladder User Course must have been completed and passed before attempting the Ladder Association’s Ladder Inspection Course you must hold a valid Ladder Association identity card.

The Site Management Safety Training Scheme (SMSTS) Site Safety Plus course is designed to cover all aspects of health and safety on site. The course is recognised by The United Kingdom Contractors Group (UKCG) as meeting the requirement for all managers working on UKCG sites. The Quarry Safety Passport has been designed by MPQC and Safety Pass Alliance Scheme (SPA) for any contractor who operates within the extractives, processing and related manufacturing industries. The Safety Passport course is a 2 day course covering health and safety awareness and industry specific hazard and safety awareness relevant to the quarrying industries.

This is Day 2, or the Refresher day, of the safety passport for the quarry and minerals industry which is run in conjunction with MPQC (Mineral Products Qualifications Council) formerly known as EPIC. The Quarry safety passport (sometimes known as the EPIC card) training course covers topics such as dust, confined spaces and hazard awareness.

This refresher course will need to be taken no later than the expiry date of your last course taken. If this date has passed then you no longer qualified to hold the qualification and a re-qualification course may not be open to you due to timescales. Please check with your previous accrediting body. Proof of prior certification is required for this course.

Assembling, dismantling, moving and using mobile access towers can be a dangerous business, with a high risk of personal injury both to those involved and those nearby. In this course, we look to train delegates to a high level of competence in the assembly, disassembly, inspection and use of these towers . The course also looks at current legislation and guidance, and contains both a written and practical assessment.
