UKATA Asbestos Awareness
Asbestos is a serious hazard on construction sites. Over 2,500 workers lost their lives to it in 2005 and according to the Health and Safety Executive it is the biggest occupational risk for those in the construction trade. Employers in the UK are legally obliged to provide training with asbestos, and this course from the UK Asbestos Training Association (UKATA) is designed to give workers everything they need to protect themselves and how to deal with asbestos when discovered on site.

This training teaches you what to do if asbestos is encountered, and why it should be left undisturbed, as well as detailing the risks, health effects and legislation regarding the substance.
